Evaluating Romania's 2018 Performance

  Romania’s 2018 Performance “Goodbye” by The Humans This 2018 performance “Goodbye” was sung by The Humans, which is a band made up of six members. Christina Caramarcu is the lead vocalist. The other members names are  Adi Tetrade, Alin Neagoe, Alex Matei, Alex Cismaru, and Corina Matei. Christina splits her time between Rome and Bucharest. She quit her job in telecommunications, started taking singing lessons, and then joined Jukebox where she met her current band. Alex Matei who is the piano player, graduated from George Enescu Music Academy (Eurovision). George Enescu Music Academy is a University of Arts in Iasi, Romania. Adi Tetrade, the drummer, was introduced to a drum-set at the age of three by his grandfather. He’s been in multiple bands and participated in several TV shows such as, Dancing with the Stars, The Voice Romania, and Strictly Come Dancing. National Identity in Romania

National Identity and the Other in Romania       National Identity is how we see ourselves as members of a nation or how we see others as members of a certain nation. It is the idea of what makes a certain nation unique. National Identity can consist of traditions, rituals, religion, language and other identifying factors. A nation may also consist of multiple identities. Take America as an example, the US is a country made up of many different ethnicities, races, religions and cultures. However, there can be things that can threaten a Nation’s identity. These are called the “significant others”. Significant others can pose as a threat if they come into a country that has an established traditional identity. When a nation is unstable that is when it becomes the most threatened by significant others.  Hello,     Welcome to my blog site. This blog site will focus on the country of Romania and their participation in the  Eurovision Song Contest. I picked this country because I honestly didn't know much about it as a whole and I certainly did not know anything about Romania's Eurovision history. Romania is a country that I never really have heard much about so I thought it would be fun to learn all these new things!
